When you are troubleshooting a problem that you are having with your iPhone, or if you are looking for a feature and can’t seem to find it, then the iOS version on the device can be a valuable piece of information.
The iPhone 6 shipped with iOS version 8.0, but has been compatible with a number of different iOS updates that have occurred since then. At the time this article was written (June 2, 2016) the most current publicly-available version of iOS is 9.3.2. The iOS version that is currently installed on your iPhone can be found by navigating to a screen in the Settings menu that contains multiple pieces of important information about your device.
Step 1: Tap Settings.
Step 2: Tap General.
Step 3: Tap About.
Step 4: Locate the Version row in the table. Your current iOS version is displayed at the right side of the table. The iOS version in the picture below is 9.3.2.
